Wonder baby Lydia led Jim's Team to an eight point victory at the Lancaster Relay for Life. I think they should rename it "Lydia's Team," since she is obviously the brains of the bunch.This was the fourth year of Saturday morning trivia at the Relay. Eight teams got four rounds of trivia at 7:30 a.m. before the oppressive heat kicked in. The Nielsen Cancer Crushers put on a last-round rush, but failed to catch up to Lydia. Kathy's Knights were third, followed by the Purple Peeps, who managed fourth place without even arriving until the second round! A-Nita Cure tied with last year's champ, Dave of the Rowdy Rankins for fifth. Breat Friends played again this year and took seventh, a little bit ahead of the Spirit Walkers.
Despite the blazing heat and the bad economy, the Relay raised over $940,000!!! (and that will go higher once late returns are counted.)
