Chuckles: Year-End Bag Sale!

Jack of the Assassins had Monday off, so he brought his team and some of Billy Warmth's Thursday night players along with him (extra special guest star Alan was just along for the photo shoot). Getting their Scottish poets mixed up cost them the game, but they did come in third. The defending Amoebas were second and Half of One, Six Dozen of Another placed first.

I got rid of a ton of unwanted prizes, since it was Bottom of the Bag night. Fritz suggested that we keep going with the unwanted theme, so next week I encourage you to bring any unwanted Christmas presents that you received and we'll recycle them into the Trashbag of Deelite (Al Gore would be so proud of us!)
Ben of Skirtland claimed that I never take their picture, so here's a shot of them (with Alan in the role of Alan). They were only one question behind third place and six points behind second.
The snowbirding G2G (or Golf to Gulf) team were up from Florida to visit their son, and did really well for their frst time out, placing seventh. They chose the Pittsburgh Steelers as their sweater-inspired theme.
George of the Talent Scouts was the "lucky" winner of the rest of the Trashbag of Deelite, shown here (beers not included). In the spirit of next week's re-giftathon, he said he was giving them all out as doorprizes at his office party (except for the booklight, which he had already broken).

Chuckles: All the Creatures Were Stirring

Jason and Nick of We Can Win...With Tickets brought along some re-enforcements and missed seventh place by only one question on the special all-Christmas, all-the-time night of trivia. Skirtland got to pick and they chose doo-wop as their theme. (That theme has now been officially retired since we've had it three times.)
Paul and Tia joined the Lethal Amoebas and took home the gold.
The Priceless team were abetted by fellow Millersville alumni Bob and took second.
The Talent Scouts have gotten their mojo back, cracking the top three in the last three weeks.
The Talent Scouts were so large this week that they started their own farm team, the Magnificent Wigballafunulvens. That's special guest star Alan of Skirtland in the background.
The Twin Roses wish everyone a lava-licious Christmas!
Deric of F-Christmas Ubersmack was shocked to hear it was Sam's last Sunday night at Chuckles.

Ambucs: Where Are The Dancing Girls?

Normally the Lititz Ambucs chapter has a local high school dancing choir perform at their annual Christmas social. But since the date was so late this year, the choir could not be assembled. So Clyde and Frank hired me to perform at the soiree, and it went over very well (despite the fact that I neither sang nor danced). The law firm of Lehman, Shelley and Anderson finally managed to win some trashbag prizes in the last round. The Eye Poppers, led by Mel, had to settle for some glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs. Clyde and Dick's team, Stinkattrivia, were true to their name, but they were better than Frank's team, the Three Wise Men and their Ho Ho Hos. The main slugfest was between the Humbugs and Al's Pals (as in Al Roker). But Al (AKA Rick, on the right in the back row above, in case you needed help) and his friends led the entire night and won all the poinsettias by two points.

VFW: The New Zoo Revue

Amy and Matt's uber-team The Heavy Petting Zoo squeaked by the Silent Knights and Chicks and Dicks, winning by one point on our special holiday show. Then Carmen lost the Captain Jack-off to Dave. Carmen was consoled by making a CD sale to Mel, who was impressed with her Christmas CD, which we played between rounds. D&M and M&S both were only two questions away from first, so once again we had a very close night.

Reminder: there will be no trivia next week (December 26th), but we will be back January 2nd. I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Christmas and see you in 2008!
And here's the other half of the Zoo. (This picture is brought to you by MIller Lite©)
Jerry, winner of the teapot for one, looks on as Mixed Company debates what their theme choice will be. It was toss-up between US Geography, John Wayne movies or some obscure British sitcom that only Bruce has ever seen (which I vetoed). In the end, they chose Elvis Presley songs. In addition, we still have last week's choice, hockey rules (which I totally forgot about. Sorry, Frank).

Bube's: Happy as a Clam

The Clams (AKA Why Is THAT Besh Here?) had a grand time at our special holiday show, placing third, only one point behind the second place Toxic Olives and three points behind Andy Pettitte's Shrunken Nutsack. Schrute Farms, $2 Jingle Balls, I Won a Math Debate and the Tony Danza Slap! were all within two questions of the money positions, so it was an extremely close night. We Apologize for the Inconvenience But the Toilets Don't Work unfortunately came in fourth. Tim's team had been hoping to come in seventh, but that honor went to Team Discovery Channel. In the spirit of this giving season, TDC gave Tim the pick, so our next show will feature 70s porn!

Speaking of our next show, it will not be until next year! The next two Tuesdays are Christmas and New Year's Day. Thanks to everyone for supporting the show in 2007 and special thanks for the Christmas bonus! May you all enjoy some time off with family and friends.
This is the American half of what was originally called the KPB team (they creatively changed their name every round). Their German half had to catch the redeye to Berlin.

Chuckles: Bodies Everywhere

The Baby Clowns were one of many teams that braved the Great Nor'easter of 2007 to play trivia at Chuckles. They came in seventh and chose the classic "A Christmas Story" as the theme for next week's holiday show. That seemed a little more holiday appropriate than tonight's theme of serial killers (although everyone did surprisingly well on that topic. Hmmm...) We Can Win...With Tickets! continued to rise and took sixth. The Price Is Right took a tumble in the final round and placed fifth, followed by Skirtland. The Talent Scouts returned to the money-making slots, placing third. The Lethal Amoebae were second, and Ubersmack Has a Concealed Weapon in Kelly's Pants stayed in first all four rounds. And we welcomed back new mom Lori as the bartender.
