Recommended: American Visionary Museum

I managed to get away for the weekend and spent a couple of days in sunny Baltimore. I recommend the American Visionary Museum, which is around the bay from Inner Harbor near Federal Hill (Warning: admission is $14). You'll be seeing some goodies from there in future Trasbags of Deelite. Thanks again to Justin for filling in at Chuckles.
Our main goal of the trip was to see Baltimore singer-songwriter extraordinaire Damion Wolfe. His Pennsylvania gigs are now practically non-existent, so we brought the people to the music.
I'm not at liberty to discuss what world-class celebrity sat with us. She apparently mistook me for a papparazzi.
We were supposed to eat at an Italian restaurant called DiPasquale's (doesn't get more Italian than that) in Eastern Baltimore, but an explosion had caused a four-hour power outage. We then ate at Ammici's in Little Italy, where we had some excellent tortellini.

VFW: Earth Night!

Ben wasn't pleased with his team's performance, but they still maanged third place on a special night of trivia. To celebrate Earth Day, I upped the budget for the Trashbag of Deelite and gave out sweets galore. The sugar rush helped Giggles and Friends win for the second week in a row, followed by Chicks and Dicks and Free Tickets to the Vagina Monologues. K-B was fourth, followed by cereal killers Kelloggs and G.M. Dand and M were sixth, while the B52s get to pick next week's theme: Chevrolets.

The Brooklyn Dodgers had a rare off night.

Chicks and Dicks, hard at work changing their answers in the last round.

Karen and Bob would like me to refrain from laughing at their answer sheets.

The Misfits are looking forward to enjoying their Tastykake Kreme-filled KupKakes.

Bube's: The Land Down Under and to the Right

The Pilgrims, or, as they like to call themselves, the Dorks from York, were first-timers tonight at Bue's and vowed to come back. They enjoyed a night featuring trivia about the home of the Flight of the Conchords: New Zaaland (that's how the original Dutch spelled it, or so I'm told). The All Black Nutsacks had a great last round and bested the Toxic Olives. The Slap was only 3 points behind, followed by You Can't Fix Stupid, 3 points farther back. The defending champs, the Cogitators came in fifth, followed by Jerome's Tow Boys, while a brand new team, the Gearheads, took the coveted seventh place spot (see below).

We Like Sheep was happy that they do not have to deal with the pressure of choosing themes for three weeks in a row.

The Toxic Olives put Craig's intimate knowledge of New Zaaland to good use.

This week they were the Mid Range Tony Danza Slap, as Tim is being naughty.

Josiah does not want to be associated with these people.

The Gearheads, newcomers to the game, get to pick next week's theme and they are showing some originality by picking the color green.

Bill, captain of Jerome's Tow Boys, was determined to win something for once in his life.

The Cogitators were exiled to the back room.

They've changed their name to You Could Fix Stupid If You Dropped the Fourth Round.

Quietly Making Noise was missing the power of Janelle.

Bob looks on as Randi weeps over their picture round results.

Chuckles: Two Thirds of a Turkey

Here's an up close and personal look at tonight's winning team, Twin Roses as they deliberate their last round. They pulled off their second win in a row, with an impressive 82 points. Skirtland was only one question behind, while Prius was nipping at their heels, two points back. Of Pixe Stix and Whirlygigs led a last minute charge and placed fourth, while Too Loose and Out of the Vortex were tied for fifth. That put the Miami Blades in seventh, and they chose the best show on TV currently: Lost.

Lee caught me trying to take a candid photo of Skirtland.

Our theme-pickers Greg and Jean capped off a week of trivia with a bronze medal.

Rich and Donna used Dave as their secret weapon and did not come in last.

The Zombies celebrated the return of Captain Andrew Kemp, on leave after a one-year stint in Afghanistan.

Bill attempts to recruit Sasha to Out of the Vortex.

The dynamic duo of Terry and Bitsy, AKA Too Loose, almost placed third.

Her teammates were delighted that Kim finally showed up for her birthday serenade.

Aimee congratulates Kara on winning her first ever Trashbag of Deelite prize: a stunning aqua blue dog food scoop!

Of Pixie Stix and Whirlygigs cornered the gummi market.

The Anonymous Alcoholics held their own in their little corner of the world.

VFW: Taxing Your Brain

Giggles and Friends attribute their winning streak to the addition of Mike to their team. They won a special Tax night of trivia, six points ahead of Chicks and Dicks. Babozulanobon got the bronze.

Ginny is overcome by emotion as Chicks and Dicks win the silver.

Knowing these guys, I'm afraid to look up what Babozulanobon means.

Doug gives Cheryl some love as their Dorks team took fourth.

We're Here for the Beer had a fantastic fourth, getting 8 out of 10 right.

Tied for fifth, Greg and Jean were looking forward to the post-show Little Feat concert.

The B52s were tied for seventh and they are going with flowers as their theme choice.

Take Anyone's Xtra EarningS was also in seventh. To counteract the sweetness of flowers, they are going with serial killers as their theme choice, since apparently Laurie is an expert in that subject. Hmmmm.....

The Four H's were hoping for fourth.

Chris named his team the Voice of the Phightins in honor of Harry.

D & M, otherwise known as Dennis and the Dark One (a little Greek humor there).

Frank and Nick refused to be in this team shot, since their name was In Love.

Bube's: Precipitation Tuesday

Soggy weather and the cold did not keep the teams away, as we had a fantastic night of trivia. The Cogitators (above) came from behind the wrest first place from Linuscratchitt. The 'Sacks were third, followed by the Toxic Olives, Ma Barker's Posse and a tie for sixth between Twilight Sucks and Cheating Is Not Good! Like Pop Rocks I Fizz in Your Mouth get to chose next week's theme: New Zealand.

Twilight Sucks may have come in sixth, but they cleaned up in Trashbag of Deelite prizes. Not only did they win the grand prize of Oreo cookies, but they also won an assortment of fake mustaches. They are sporting two of the jauntier ones.

Summon Our Greatness by Standing in Front of a Mirror Saying Nutsack, Nutsack, Nutsack. 'Nuff said.

The Toxic Olives needed one more point to put them in the money slots.

Dani and Mike made a return appearance after a short sabbatical.
