Woodfill's Warriors had a fantastic night, acing the second round and coming in second, besting the Tony Danza Slap by one point.
Al and Tipper Gore (AKA Sam and Erika of Window Liqueur) made a special appearance. Al is doing his part to clean up the environment by eating potentially hazardous out-of-date barbecue sauce. Al will be making another appearance at Bube's on April 18th when Spring radio Theater returns to Alois.
Girl, You Ain't Got No Arms! was shocked that their impressive 73 point total was only good enough for fourth place.
Trilobytes Win the Republican Nomination, an offshoot of the Exploding Ovaries used Meredith's biological expertise.
Drunk Guy at the Bar was happy to see Nona.
Patty and Brad, sans the ailing Keith and the "working" Brent tied for seventh and chose "the original 13 colonies" as their theme. Shannon of the Here's to Roast Beef The Only sandwich I Drink When I'm Drunk team was delighted to also get a choice and went with "suicide cults."
Mike and Dani were just going to try the first round, but stayed for the entire game.
The MoFos made up for lost time by doing a speed round of trivia with the K&R Estrogen Rays.

Chuckles: That's Entertainment!

The unholy alliance known as Ubersmack added Paul and Trisha and Duane and became Crunksized, taking a commanding 16 point lead over Lorraine and birthday boy Jay of the Lethal Amoebas. Tim's lifetime of playing Nintendo Entertainment System games finally was put to good use. Skirtland was only one point behind them, but ahead of their arch-rivals Out of the Vortex. 3 MUs, a WAC and a Fummer were fifth and there was a three-way between the Twin Roses, the Intoxicated Intellectuals and the Talent Scouts for sixth. I let KC choose next week's theme, and they're going all History Channel on us by picking World War II. We Can Win... With Tickets!, meanwhile, were sorely disappointed that I couldn't sing the Mario Brothers theme song. Hiphopapotamus, however, were glad that I got their Conchords reference.
Third place Skirtland, ever the gracious team, gives their condolences to fourth place Bill and Marge.
The Dropkick Mollys thought that they had tanked, but were comfortably in the middle of the pack, placing 9th out of 18 teams.
Special K was doing extremely well until the painful last round.
If you pulled a wet ticket, blame Duane.

Player Mailbag

Sue of the Twin Roses sent me this nice pic of her teammates Dawn and Trish celebrating third place at Cafe Chuckles.

VFW: Bentbird on the Rise

Ryan, Chris and Brigid (AKA Bentbird) had their Best Week Ever, only one question behind the first place Chicks and Dicks. They tied with the B52s, but Sheila quickly got chomped by Captain Jack. (She just as quickly threatened to sue). Fourth place went to H2W, who had been hoping for a three-peat. Room Two was fifth and those two crazy Italians, D&M were sixth. Shitz and Giggles and Friends Featuring "I'm Just Here for the Camaraderie" Tina placed seventh, but since they can't make it next week, they gave their choice to Nix Lix and Nat. Tom chose the Eagles, which made Dee nauseous.
Cassandra, Jason, Matt and Amy show their acting range, bummed that they did not win three weeks in a row.

Bube's: Behold the Power of Sugar

The Tony Danza Slap had a most excellent night, an incredible 21 points ahead. They also won a box of Kaboom cereal and circus peanuts, which they morphed into a new treat: Kaboomallows. Bella Morte Is Playing Here March 7th (aka Shannon's team) came in second and would like you to know that Bella Morte is playing here March 7.
Keith, Brad and Patty did really well, placing third. Brent was missing. Coincidence?
The One-Eyed Wonder Weasel and His Two Balls were shooting for seventh, but fell to eighth. Luckily for them, Kristy of the 7th place Nachos Grande took their suggestion and chose Emilio Estevez as next week's theme.
Justin (and Stephanie) hung around later and picked up the remains of the Slap's Kaboom, rekindling fond childhood memories of eating his favorite cereal while drinking Guinness.
